Chapter Summit Award Winners Recognized

We proudly honor the winners of our chapter’s 2010-2011 Summit Awards, the professional competition for technical publications.

The following entries were recognized at Spectrum 2011, the region’s premier technical communications conference.  These entries were also on display for conference attendees to peruse and admire.

All recipients of the Distinguished Technical Communication and Excellence awards are eligible for the STC Summit Awards, the international competition.

The award recipients from the STC Rochester Chapter 2010-2011 Summit Awards will be on display at Spectrum 2011. Come see what your colleagues have been writing and designing, and congratulate them on their achievements!

We will also announce which submission was named Best of Show. Was it your submission? Maybe you work with the recipient? The announcement will be made at the Awards Luncheon.

Register for Spectrum 2011 today! Registration options include full-day, half-day, morning keynote only, Awards luncheon only, and pre-conference networking reception.

Competition Judges: Update

STC Summit Awards InternationalWe’re midway through the judges’ evaluation period for the competition! By now you should have received your judges’ packet containing the entries for you to evaluate. You should have also received an email this week with judging guidelines.

If you have not received this information, please contact Pam Greenfield ASAP.

See you for the Consensus Judging Day on Saturday, November 20! Details for the day will be emailed to you soon.

Attention Competition Judges!

Thank you to those who have volunteered their time to evaluate and compare notes on this year’s competition entries.

Information about packet pickup will be emailed the week of October 25, 2010.

** New Judging Guidelines for 2010**

The competition’s structure has changed slightly, and so has the way entries will be evaluated.
There will be a webinar Saturday, October 30 from noon – 2pm EST for more information about the judging changes for the STC International Summit Awards (which the Rochester Chapter is following as a model).

If you wish to attend the live webinar this Saturday, contact Pam Greenfield ASAP.

This webinar will be recorded, so if you can’t attend Saturday, you can still attend a recorded session.
