Corporate Trainer and Scheduler, Complemar Partners – Rochester, NY

The Corporate Trainer and Scheduler is responsible for analyzing training needs, developing curriculum, delivering course training for multi-company/multi-shift operations and analyzing course effectiveness for employee certification process. This position is also responsible for creating and maintaining internal documentation and to support the development and production of external user manuals. The Corporate Trainer and Scheduler is also responsible for scheduling people to support Operations at all divisions of Complemar. This includes coordinating with various departments regarding Personnel demand and working with Staffing Agencies to cater the Operational needs. This position frequently collaborates with specialists in other disciplines, including engineers, product and process experts, logistics specialists, and sales representatives. The Corporate Trainer and Scheduler is expected to understand all aspects of their job and adhere to safety and quality standards. Works efficiently, has a strong work ethic and is detail oriented. Corporate Trainer Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with leadership, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies.
  • Formulate training outline and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops
  • Facilitates training in person or via web conference to improve employee knowledge & skills. Select and develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, visual aids, computer tutorials and reference work.
  • Maintains employee training records in company LMS and provides sport quality initiatives with records documentation and training materials.
  • Designs & develops hard copy and PDF technical documentation, web-based help file systems for software applications. Inspects documents for grammar, clarity, content and formatting.
  • Reviews processes, writes material for training programs, creates training and new employee orientation presentations.
  • Assists in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Quality documentation, guides and user manuals, typically collaborating with the Quality Manager.
  • Reviews and updates user guides, brochures, operating instructions, quick reference cards for COMET family of software solutions, Magic Prints and Manage and support external user documentation development and distribution processes.
  • Manage multiple, parallel projects using project planning techniques.
  • Willingness to serve on cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous, ongoing improvement of processes, methods, productivity and quality, while reducing costs.
Scheduler Responsibilities:
  • Review and assess daily production demand and the production needs for all divisions of Complemar.
  • Establish and maintain internal customer relationships.
  • Actively works with Supervisors in identifying personnel demand for that day & catering temp staffing to the production schedules.
  • Ensure timely and effective delivery of the personnel solution into production.
  • Actively Involve in scheduling replacements to various departments in absence of staffing.
  • Train the new-hired employees on our Paychex Job costing processes.
  • Ensure that the right quality of personnel delivered to various departments and achieve internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Work as the liaison between staffing agencies & Complemar to resolve staffing issues.
  • Be an active advocate of safety and coach the new on-boarded employees on the safety concepts of working in a warehouse environment.
  • Resolve conflict amongst team members.
  • Provide other onboarding and other training as needed for employees.
  • Maintain 5S Standards, which entails accurately and efficiently managing items in the warehouse.
  • Establish and promotes a safe workplace, ensuring that appropriate safety procedures and instructions are followed. Brings to the attention of Vice President of Human Resources any issues or workplace hazards.
  • Reads, adheres and helps to ensure compliance of work instructions, (safety) procedures, HR policies and completes required forms or reports.
  • Maintains awareness of changing trends and regulations which might affect the departments and acts on as required to ensure compliance.
  • Serves on cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous improvement of processes, methods, productivity and quality, while reducing costs.
  • Brings to the attention of Supervisor for any equipment, material issues or workplace hazards.

  • Intermediate curriculum development & design skills, with familiarity with multiple development methodologies. (ADDIE)

  • The Corporate Trainer is exposed to equipment, warehouse, moving mechanical parts and is exposed to fumes, airborne particles and vibration. The workplace noise level is usually moderate.
