~3 hour webinar recorded on Saturday, May 12, 2012

Unlike workshops that are focused primarily on finding grants and writing grant applications, this workshop (and webinar) will focus on first finding funders who support your organization’s mission and vision – and developing a partnership with them – even before applying for a grant. This workshop uses science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) program examples — but contains valuable tips for any organization to research and locate funders who support their mission and vision.

Topics include:

  • Sources and methods of researching grantmakers
  • Preparing and submitting letters of introduction and inquiry
  • Approaching grantmakers by telephone and email
  • Meeting with a grantmaker and successful site visits
