If you: have completed your accounting or law degrees; have a few years’ of professional experience within the tax sector; are passionate about writing; are knowledgeable in the placement of digital content; and actively write articles, blogs, journals, etc., this could be your ideal fit. This role requires excellent communication skills, verbal, listening and, of course, writing, a strong initiative and follow-through, ability to collaborate with fast-paced, time-pressured attorneys to transform their thoughts and ideas into coherent, media appropriate articles, alerts, blogs, tweets, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Accounting or law degree. Bar certification not required;
  • Three years’ experience working as a copy editor / writer in the professional services industry. Technical writing experience preferred;
  • Exposure to principles of accounting, finance and/or taxation or a strong interest in the taxation field;
  • Highly skilled communicator with particular strength in written communication, ability to write simply and clearly on complex topics;
  • Customer-focused, able to demonstrate specific instances of extraordinary client service, including identifying and anticipating needs, delivering to expectations and follow through;
  • Initiative, perseverance and creativity in meeting stated objectives, able to effectively problem-solve around challenges to achieve objectives;
  • Competent in the full range of computer software related to the position including relevant databases, MSOffice suite.
