Opportunities for Support: Spectrum 2011

STC Rochester is proud to partner with the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) this year to bring you Spectrum 2011.

Spectrum 2011, STC Rochester’s 52nd annual conference, is scheduled for Friday, April 1, 2011.

This year’s theme is Building Better Solutions: A Skills Symposium. Presenters from across the country and Canada will be in Rochester, NY to discuss communications models, innovative tools and technologies, management challenges, content reuse, translation, and other topics dedicated to helping technical communicators grow. The topics and exhibitors will provide an exciting range of forward-thinking ideas with an emphasis on creating business solutions and personal career development. Our Management Methodologies and Professional Development tracks are especially designed to attract decision makers and those that influence purchasing decisions as well as those working on their teams. Our Workplace Skills track and Tools & Technologies tracks are designed to hone business skills.

Becoming a supporter of Spectrum 2011 offers you a chance to showcase your products and services to a wide variety of technical communicators and managers from companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Bausch + Lomb, Xerox, and many other top, multi-national organizations. Spectrum annually attracts attendees from New York and, Canada, and speakers from across the country.

Benefits of Support

NEW!! STC Rochester recognizes that companies want more opportunity to show off their products and services, so we are introducing a Vendor Track to our presentation schedule this year to feature STC Rochester’s supporters in tools and technologies fields. As a Platinum Level Supporter, you will be eligible for a 50-minute presentation session to demonstrate your product or service, show customer use cases, and connect with potential clients. There are only four presentation slots available, so reserve your spot and send us your proposal as soon as possible. Gold Level Sponsors and Silver Level Exhibitors can opt for one of eight time slots at our Vendor Demonstration Table. Yours will be a scheduled, informal 30-minute demonstration held in the exhibit area.

Pre-Conference VIP Reception: Platinum, Gold and Silver sponsors are invited to join all conference speakers, STC Rochester council members, Spectrum 2011 supporters and local company decision makers for a pre-conference networking event. This reception will include a World Café. During the World Café, powerful questions will be introduced to stimulate creative thinking around the chosen topic. People explore the answers in small groups and share experiences, insights and possibilities. This is an opportunity to have conversations with potential clients and business partners and learn their perspectives on a wide range of subjects.

Sponsor the VIP Reception: An $800 donation gives your company’s representatives full access to all reception attendees. Your company’s logo will appear on all signage used during the event and for advertising the event. Special acknowledgment at the event and conference the next day is an additional benefit to sponsorship.
