Spectrum 2019 Call for Proposals

Diamond Anniversary Call for Proposals now Closed

Thank you to all speakers who sumbmitted for Spectrum 2019, held March 24-26. This year’s theme is Remember Yesterday. Celebrate Today. Plan for Tomorrow.

The STC Rochester Spectrum conference has been inviting technical communicators to gather in Rochester for 60 years now. Because the future builds on the past, we are having Toni Ressaire, Information 4.0 founding member, as keynote. As Bill Keane used to say, yesterday’s the past, tomorrow is the future, but today is a gift, that’s why we call it the present. Be present and convey some of your knowledge. That will be a gift to all.

Register for Spectrum 2019 now to be part of this great event!

Our speakers will address some of these questions

  • How do we transition to AI, VR, AR?
  • How do we work with virtual assistants?
  • What skill sets do we need to keep pace and stay employed?
  • What knowledge from the past can we apply today?
  • Do we adapt to changes faster and better than we did 30 or 40 years ago?
  • What can the different generations bring to each other?
  • What are the new opportunities and challenges today?
  • What is the Certified Professional Technical Communicator credential from STC bringing to our work and our life?

Are you seeking networking opportunities?

Come to Spectrum 2019 to discuss your questions with tech comm peers. Learn from amazing speakers. Network with local and international tech comm leaders. Discover new ideas and methods.  Learn tips and techniques you can start using today.

We are the preeminent regional technical communication conference. Enjoy the same quality speakers who present at international conferences. Meet these speakers and have in-depth conversations with fellow tech comm practitioners and thought leaders.
