You are here:
Thank you to the speakers, attendees, sponsors, volunteers, and donors for making Spectrum 2016 another great conference!
Thanks again to our keynote speaker, Charles Cooper, who gave a fun talk about story. We appreciate the efforts of all of our speakers, who worked hard to bring great content to our regional conference. Our moderators and other volunteers made speakers feel welcome and ensured everything progressed smoothly, and we’d like to thank them for their efforts.
Thanks again to our Platinum sponsor Adobe. They have been our Platinum sponsor for many years, and we truly appreciate their support. We were glad to have Bernard Aschwanden giving the Adobe Platinum Sponsor Presentation.
Thanks again to WebWorks for our sponsoring our conference after-party. We had a great turnout, and it was nice to have a chance to relax with the attendees as well as some chapter members who couldn’t make it to the conference.
Thank you to those who filled out our survey. We will keep your comments in mind for Spectrum 2017!
And for those who have really strong feelings about how the conference should proceed next year, whether it be food, speakers, sessions, or the length of the day, why not join the Council or a Spectrum conference committee to help make the conference work for you? One of the reasons we can’t always implement people’s great ideas is because we do not have enough volunteers…you can make things happen on the chapter level if you volunteer.
Thanks also for those who provide testimonials! We’ve added them to the website and you can see them at the bottom of each page (use the previous and next buttons to navigate through them).
We’re happy to see we received some local publicity for the conference.
We’ve posted galleries of Leadership Day, the Speaker Reception, the conference, the after-party, and the workshop. Warning: These are original photos, untouched and not reduced, so the page may be slow to load, depending on your computer and bandwidth.
The Council is already planning for the next conference. The co-chairs will be announced after elections, but we already have our date, so make a note of it: March 26-28, 2017. The call for proposals will go out in early fall.
Thanks again for your support and we look forward to seeing you there next year!

This conference was a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. Leadership day offered a lot of great information we could all use, regardless of whether we are a current leader. The conference day (Monday) may have looked like a long day on the schedule, but it was jam-packed with so many great sessions, plus opportunities to relax, breathe, and have fun, that the day went by in a flash! Spectrum is truly well-organized and well-executed. I highly recommend the Spectrum conference to re-charge your career and STC spirit. - Tricia Spayer, STC Associate Fellow (Cleveland, OH)

I had a great time at Spectrum 2016! There were a wide variety of topics and learning experiences, whether you are an experienced professional or just getting started. It's also a great networking event where I am fortunate to have made life-long professional connections and friendships. I encourage anyone in the technical communications industry to attend next year. What you get out of the conference is well worth the investment. - Jan Peartree, Technical Communications Manager, Novatek Communications, Inc.
