STC Rochester Presents Louellen Coker (Portfolios for Tech Comm Professionals)

STC Rochester is excited to roll out the new state of Programs – Dual availability! In-person AND online attendance at Programs means all members, regardless of location, can enjoy the benefits of educational presentations.

Join us for the first of these Wednesday, October 16th, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm at MacGregor’s in Penfield (or online) to catch up with STC members, colleagues, and newcomers, and get some pointers on developing your portfolio.

Portfolios for Tech Comm Professionals

Your portfolio is your most important tool to show your talents, abilities, and breadth of experience. In this webinar, Louellen Coker describes different types of portfolios; what types of projects to include; branding through your portfolio; leveraging social media; and using your portfolio to get a job, project, or client. Learn what a portfolio is and is not, what to include in your portfolio across multiple means of presentation, and how to use your portfolio effectively. If you’re developing a portfolio, this is the webinar for you.

About the presenter: Louellen Coker holds a master of arts degree in technical communication from the University of North Texas and a bachelor of arts degree from Baylor University. Once she started her graduate degree, it didn’t take long for her to realize that this is exactly where she belongs: in the world of writing. She loves it so much, she founded her own company based on helping clients effectively communicate their desired message within their own businesses and with their communities through print, design, and the Web.

She is an active council member and form president of the North Texas Lone Star Community of STC, an Associate Fellow of STC, and served as the President of the Women Business Owners of Denton County in 2008 and 2009.
