Here’s what you’ll need:

  • BA, BS, or MS in Cognitive Psychology, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Ethnography, Human Factors, or related field required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in qualitative research role
  • Excellent understanding of qualitative research methodologies
  • Proven ability to identify and communicate user insights and opportunity spaces
  • Empathic approach to research, ability to identify user pain points
  • Understanding of UX research and design principles
  • Ability to plan, manage, and execute research initiatives independently

Here’s what you’d do:

  • Work on cross-functional design team to determine research needs & deliverables
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on research and analysis
  • Utilize expertise to advise and guide departments in research questions & direction
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer’s needs and desires across different brands and markets
  • Schedule & conduct interviews, in-field research, and focus groups
  • Discover user tensions to identify new problem or opportunity spaces
  • Focused research with users to test usability of product designs or features
  • Run tests with users to explore relevance of solutions or features
  • Explore and propose potential types of solutions for user or design problems
  • Analyze research results utilizing quantitative & qualitative data
