We are officially in the midst of Fall, with Halloween past and Thanksgiving in our sights! In October, we had a fun kick off event with live entertainment, BBQ, and a visit with the Society President Ben Woelk. Next up is the popular Tech Comm Showcase and Annual Business Meeting on November 20! Get your tickets on Eventbrite. We will round out the year with a fun holiday event, as we always do. Marilyn is busy scoping out locations and contemplating fun speakers and activities, but if you have any ideas, she would love to hear them (email her at programs@stc-rochester.org).
The Call for Proposals for Spectrum is coming soon, so start thinking about what you could share with your peers! And put these dates on your calendar to attend: Saturday, March 21 to Monday, March 23, 2020.
The annual STC regional competition has undergone a revamp, with another chapter participating. All STC members should have received an email announcement (Subject: The STC Alliance Competition is now open. Deadline Dec. 6, 2019). Please consider submitting your work for the competition or becoming a judge. While you learn a lot either route you take, our chapter gets credit for your participation, so it’s a win for you and the chapter!
