Results of 2013 Chapter Membership Survey

This year, the chapter surveyed its members to get a better idea of how its programs and services are working, and what members are interested in going forward. You can download the complete survey results. Here are some highlights:

Length of membership: Most of you have been members of the chapter at least 10 years.

Most important reason for becoming an STC member: Opportunities for networking and making new contacts (about 72%), followed by opportunities for skill building (about 68%).

Value for the cost of chapter meetings: Most of you (nearly 60%) consider the cost of chapter meetings to be a good value for the money.

Where you live: Most of you live and work  in Brighton, Henrietta, or Rochester. About 13% of you live in the central New York area.

Of the services the chapter offers, most of you selected chapter meetings, special/holiday events, and the annual Spectrum conference.

Of the services that STC International offers, most of you selected the Intercom magazine, webinars, and the annual salary survey.

Among the types of chapter programs and services that would interest you, most of you chose webinars (78%), training days (nearly 69%), joint programs with other professional organizations (nearly 53%), and a chapter newsletter delivered to members by email (53%).
